Editorial Process
The International Journal of Social Science Nexus (IJSSN) is a peer-reviewed academic journal committed to publishing high-quality and original research in the field of social sciences. To maintain academic integrity and ensure the originality of submitted work, all contributions undergo a rigorous editorial and review process.
Initial Screening
All submissions are first reviewed by the editorial board to evaluate their relevance, originality, and adherence to the journal's scope and submission guidelines. Submissions not meeting the basic criteria may be returned without external review.
Plagiarism Check
Submissions passing the initial screening are checked for plagiarism using Turnitin. Manuscripts showing significant similarity or previously published content will be rejected immediately. Only papers with an acceptable similarity index, in line with the plagiarism policy of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan, proceed to the next stage.
Note: Turnitin reports submitted by authors themselves will not be accepted.
Double-Blind Peer Review
Manuscripts that pass the plagiarism check are subjected to a double-blind peer review process to ensure impartial evaluation. Both the authors and reviewers remain anonymous during this process. Reviewers assess the manuscript’s originality, methodology, scholarly contribution, and overall quality.
Revision and Final Decision
Authors of manuscripts recommended for publication may be requested to revise their work in response to reviewers’ comments. The revised submission is re-evaluated before a final publication decision is made by the editorial board. The final acceptance is contingent upon satisfactory revisions and adherence to ethical and formatting guidelines.
